Back To School

SHOES DONāT CHANGE THE WORLD
OUR FUTURE DOES
At Foot Locker, weāre committed to inspiring change. We believe that itās time for the next generation to school the world. By using your creativity and hope as a form of rebellion we can create a brighter future together.
This Back to School season, we are ready to get back. But not the way things were, but the way things could be. To celebrate these fresh beginnings, we are happy to announce an exciting partnership, offering young creatives across Europe the opportunity to receive financial investments to help them achieve their goals.
Together with Creative Debuts, weāve launched the Young Creators Grants, where we offer ā¬15,000 worth of financial grants to help young artists continue their work and passion for self-expression. These grants have been created to help kickstart creative careers and ventures. Recipients are free to spend the money however they choose ā from paying studio rent to buying supplies or a new kit.
If youāve got what it takes, we invite you to apply at https://creativedebuts.co.uk/footlocker. To receive a ā¬500 investment all you need to do is submit a link to your creative work with pictures and write a short bio letting us know who you are. Keep in mind that your work should focus on sneakers and sneaker culture ā whether thatās illustrating kicks or upcycling sneakers.
To help you get inspired, weāve teamed up with a group of changemakers who are using their creative skills to champion a brighter future for their communities and beyond. Meet Elijah, Be, and Abdoulaye! UK-based Elijah (@everyone_loves_lijah) uses his platform to celebrate albinism and discusses his hopes to create a more diverse and accessible modeling industry for future generations. Be (@befernandezart) is a Spanish illustrator, whose work is inspired by fashion, sneakers, and street culture. Her illustrations are colorful and upbeat with encouraging captions, blurring the line between fiction and reality. French creative, Abdoulaye (@abd_senpai) doesnāt limit himself to just one thing and is currently an actor, dancer, and model. Watch them shine in our Back to School video below!
